Jack Drosdick was chairman, CEO and president of Sunoco, Inc. since 2000. He retired as CEO and president on August 8, 2008 and will remain chairman until December 31, 2008. He was president and COO of Sunoco (1996-2000), president of Ultramar Corp. (1990-96) and Tosco Corp. (1987-90). He began his career with Exxon (1968-83). Mr. Drosdick is also a board member of United States Steel Corporation and H. J. Heinz Company. He is a trustee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Sunoco, Inc., is one of the largest independent refiner-marketers in the USA. Sunoco’s Chemical Division is the leading producer of phenol and among the leading producers of polypropylene in North America. In 2007, the company reported revenues of US $44.5 billion and had some 14,200 employees.
