Years ago, Oscar Ancira, Sr. changed all that. He combined his engineering brain with his love of Mexican cuisine to create great tasting frozen Mexican food. He merged two of his favorite words —"Delicious" and "Mexican" — to name his brand "Delimex®."

Starting with his personal passion, tamales, Oscar quickly moved on to create his Mexican masterpiece, the classic Delimex® Taquito – still our flagship (if flagships are edible and taste delicious).

From day one, Delimex® ingredients were top-notch – Mexican spices and fillings, all snugly wrapped in freshly made corn and flour tortillas. In the mid-80's the word about Delimex® spread like crazy. This was great Mexican food you could keep on hand to satisfy your craving fast, 24/7. Genius.

Before long, Delimex® branched out into quesadillas and bowls, all while sticking to their mission: quality ingredients, careful preparation, and crave-worthy Mexican flavor.
